The values and commitments that shape how 10th Muses members interact — in our WhatsApp community, at events, and in every shared space. Please read before joining.
Radical Inclusion, Humility, Kindness
Kindness First. Speak with respect, curiosity, and care. Assume good intent and always give the benefit of the doubt.
Curiosity over Certainty. Ask questions gently, share vulnerably when ready, and listen more than you speak.
Humility. Be grateful for and to those with differing perspectives — they save us from doubling down on our own unrecognized biases.
Challenge Ideas, Not People. Disagree with perspectives, not individuals. Personal insults and attacks are not tolerated.
Accountability. Take responsibility for your impact.
Share the Floor
Share the Floor. After a few messages in a row, pause. Pull others in. Welcome newcomers. If an introduction goes unanswered, be the one who replies.
Keep it Open. Skip inside jokes and references to plans that aren’t open to the group — they make people feel on the outside. If the same voices are dominating, widen the circle.
Every Voice Matters. Quieter members: we want to hear from you. New here? Introduce yourself whenever you’re ready — no rush. Regulars: a quick hello to a new face goes further than you think.
A Sanctuary, Not a Marketplace
Connection, Not Commerce. Don’t use the general chats to sell services, promote events (sharing is fine, promoting is not), or push tickets. Share who you are, not what you’re selling.
Sharing Events. You’re welcome to share invitations to events, but limit the share to once in the Events group — do not blast it to more than one group, out of respect for others’ digital spaces.
Right Message, Right Room. Sharing referrals, recommendations, and work pitches is encouraged, but in the appropriate groups — like the referrals or industry-specific chats.
Consent, Boundaries, & Digital Safety
Digital Boundaries. Interact publicly first. Ask before moving to DMs.
WhatsApp Profile — Name Display. When you join, please introduce yourself and ensure your WhatsApp profile shows your name and a real photo. We regularly audit the community and remove nameless folks temporarily until settings are updated.
Strict Privacy. What happens here stays here. No screenshots. No sharing stories, photos, or identities outside this community without explicit consent.
Zero Tolerance. Bullying, public shaming, harassment, discrimination, ageism, racism, ableism, and hate will result in a warning followed by immediate removal.
Private Resolution. Handle conflicts and misunderstandings directly with Andrea / 10th Muses or through private messages rather than public callouts.
