10th Muses is a social collective for queer women, lesbians, and nonbinary folks 30+ in New York City. We create curated in-person experiences — parties, dinners, theater outings, fitness events, and more — designed to build real connection in a city that often makes it hard to find.
Founded in September 2025 by Andrea Himmel, we have grown from a single cocktail party to a community of over 2,700 members across NYC. Our events span six categories: Parties and Socials, Meals Together, Theater and the Arts, Fitness and Wellness, Nature and Outdoors, and Thought Leadership.
Every event is intentionally designed. We choose venues that feel right, keep guest lists at a size where you can meet people, and create spaces where showing up alone feels comfortable. Whether it is a dance party in Meatpacking, brunch in Flatiron, yoga in DUMBO, or Broadway in Midtown — every gathering is rooted in our three values: celebration, community, and connection.
Our name is inspired by Sappho of Lesbos, whom Plato called the 10th Muse for her bold, sensual poetry celebrating love and desire between women.
10th Muses carries that legacy forward — celebrating overlooked brilliance and building culture that cannot be ignored.
